Is it audited?

Not yet, and we won't pretend otherwise. The encryption code will be open source at launch so anyone can read it. A paid outside audit is the first thing founder money pays for.

How do my passwords reach my Mac with no cloud?

Your vault is one locked file. Put it in your own iCloud Drive or Dropbox and every Pawsword opens the same file. Or don't sync at all. The app never talks to a server of ours because there isn't one.

What if I forget my master password?

Nobody can reset it, including us. That is the whole point. So Pawsword prints a paper backup at setup with your recovery key and a blank for your password. Keep it somewhere real, like a drawer.

What happens after I pay?

You get a receipt and a licence code by email. At launch you type the code once and you're in on every Apple device you own. Until then, one honest progress note a month. No marketing, we promise.

Wait. Is it Password or Pawsword?

Pawsword. You read it as password, didn't you? That was on purpose. Same job, but a bear runs this one and he never phones home.

Who is behind this?
